Remote career coaching / Latin America → US

You may be qualified and still get overlooked.

Many experienced developers in Latin America are competing with a presentation that does not show the level of work they can actually do.

Your resume may list technologies without showing the problems you solved. Your LinkedIn profile may undersell your ownership. You may understand English well but still lose confidence when explaining a difficult technical decision in a live interview.

You may also be unsure about:

  • Where serious US opportunities are actually found
  • How to work with recruiters and direct clients
  • What rate to ask for in USD
  • How to negotiate without pricing yourself out—or undercharging

The issue is not becoming someone else. It is learning to make your existing experience visible, specific, and relevant to the opportunities you want.

Leave with a clearer story and a process you can use.

A resume that shows ownership, decisions, and outcomes instead of only responsibilities.

A LinkedIn profile and introduction that make your target role clear.

A repeatable way to explain your technical work in English.

Practice with the questions and conversations that decide whether a process moves forward.

A focused approach to finding roles, contracts, recruiters, and direct opportunities.

More confidence discussing scope, rates, and offers when the opportunity is real.

The goal is not more applications for their own sake. It is better evidence, better conversations, and a search process you can keep improving.

I know the gap between doing the work and being recognized for it.

I’m Gabriel Márquez, a senior full-stack engineer based in Montevideo, Uruguay.

For more than twelve years, I have worked with US and international teams across banking, fintech, healthcare, retail, telecom, and government projects. Much of that work has been remote, contract-based, or delivered through staff-augmentation arrangements.

I have worked on:

  • Retail-bank onboarding systems
  • Cross-border payment platforms
  • Healthcare communication systems
  • Java, Spring, Go, React, and Angular systems
  • Third-party integrations, CI/CD, and cloud infrastructure
  • Technical interviews and engineering mentoring

I know the difference between doing good work and communicating its value in a way that a US hiring manager, recruiter, or client can quickly recognize. That is the gap we work on: not generic motivation, but evidence, language, decisions, and practice.

Four steps from “I can do this” to showing it clearly.

01

Find the evidence

Identify the projects, decisions, and outcomes that prove the level of work you want to be hired for.

02

Make it legible

Turn that evidence into a resume, LinkedIn profile, introduction, and project stories that are easy to understand.

03

Practice the room

Rehearse technical interviews, behavioral questions, recruiter calls, client conversations, and rate discussions.

04

Run the search

Choose realistic targets, build an outreach and application rhythm, review the feedback, and adjust.

Start with the support you need.

You do not need to commit to the full program to get useful help. Start with one focused problem, improve your positioning, or apply for structured support when you are ready.

Frequently asked questions

Before you apply, here are the practical details about the program, the time involved, and what I can realistically help with.

What English level do I need?

You do not need perfect English. You should be able to participate in a technical conversation and understand written instructions. This program can help with clarity, confidence, vocabulary, and structure, but it is not an English course.

How much time should I expect to spend each week?

Plan for approximately three to five hours per week: one coaching session, resume or interview work, applications or outreach, and practice between sessions.

What happens if I do not get a job or contract?

There is no guaranteed placement. The program improves your positioning, materials, interview performance, opportunity strategy, and negotiation skills. If the first opportunity does not work out, we can review what happened and adjust your strategy.

Can you guarantee a specific salary?

No. I can help you understand market positioning, communicate your value, choose a realistic target, and negotiate more effectively. I cannot guarantee a particular salary, client, or contract rate.

What happens if I receive an offer?

We can review the role, scope, rate, and terms together so you can make an informed decision and negotiate with more confidence.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes. The eight-week program can be paid upfront or in two monthly installments.

Your next opportunity starts with a clearer version of your current experience.

You do not need to become someone else to compete internationally. You need to understand your strongest evidence, communicate it clearly, and build a consistent process for pursuing the right opportunities.

The introductory call is free. There is no obligation to continue, and enrollment only happens if we both agree the program is a good fit. Results are not guaranteed. Your outcome depends on your experience, technical ability, English communication, effort, consistency, market conditions, and the opportunities available.
